Past Sermon Series

listen to past sermons here!

Into a world of confusion, speculation, and opinion, God has spoken. The bible is his very word and where it speaks, he speaks. Sermons at Missio are expository, which simply means the point of the text is the point of the sermon. Christ is the hope of the world and He is the tie that binds the Old and New Testaments together. The gospel then is the goal of the sermon so that Jesus is seen and savored for who he is.

Paul loved the Philippian church and they loved him. In this short letter he shares with them the thread that runs through his ministry. This thread takes him to prison, poverty, and persecution; and, it binds him to deep friendships, unceasing joy, and bold gospel transformations. What is the thread? Grace.

Join us for this 15-week series through Philippians which begins in January.

Reformation 500.jpg

“Unless I am convinced by the testimony of the Holy Scriptures or by evident reason-for I can believe neither pope nor councils alone, as it is clear that they have erred repeatedly and contradicted themselves-I consider myself convicted by the testimony of Holy Scripture, which is my basis; my conscience is captive to the Word of God. Thus I cannot and will not recant, because acting against one’s conscience is neither safe nor sound. God help me. Amen.” -Martin Luther
